The newest Dirtybird VA, Summer Funk, is yet another example of quality modern dance music from the electronic music label of the decade. Dirtybird now has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has quickly become the most well-known label of house music. When we came across this new Dirtybird track not too long ago, we knew good things were in store for their latest bird-house release.
The EP features eclectic tracks from Lee Walker, Weiss, Lord Leopard, as well as Bump Ugly, a mysterious producer whose frantic synthesizer prowess has captured and intrigued us. Ugly’s debut track Lost My Mind, is a captivating rolling dance tune with late-night club sensibilities. Lee Walker also makes his debut on Dirtybird with an energetic quirky track, aptly called Rock Climber. We can definitely expect great things from these artists in the future, as well as from the other fantastic producers on this EP.
