Get ready for another Summer day of dancing to house music under the Space Needle! Diplo’s house music record label Higher Ground and Disco Donnie present the Higher Ground festival in Seattle this August 6th featuring some of the biggest names in electronic music. The Fisher Pavilion at Seattle Center will host Diplo, Bob Moses, Solardo, J. Worra, Vnssa, Aluna, Jaded, and Seattle legend Frida K.

Diplo launched his house music label Higher Ground in 2019 which houses his tracks and collaborations while also showcasing various established and up-and-coming talents in house music and beyond. Since then, Higher Ground has held day-long house music festivals nationwide, and the stellar event is back in Seattle this year. After attending the Higher Ground event in Seattle in 2021 and Disco Donnie’s “Fourth at the Mural,” another recent house music event at the Seattle Center, we have a better idea of what to expect and are sure that this “darty” is a must-attend.
The lineup includes many house legends –some that have toured in Seattle recently, and some that are playing for us for the first time. Seattle resident Frida K has shared the stage with acts such as Claude Von Stroke and Chris Lake and will warm up the crowds on August 6th with her energetic live sets. London’s DJ trio Jaded, who cite the city’s cultural melting pot as their primary inspiration, will follow. Their groove-laden club anthems are sure to leave the crowd wanting more.
One of the most exciting names on the lineup is UK’s Aluna, who recently released her sophomore album MYCELiUM which features a host of talents from across the globe such as TSHA, Route94, Jayda G, Chris Lake, and MK. In fact, the popular Chris Lake and Aluna track Beggin’ that has been a part of every DJ’s recent sets is one from this album. We can’t wait to hear her new tracks live!
VNSSA will shift the energy by bringing some techno and classic disco to the stage, and J.Worra and Solardo will follow suit to play some of their big hits that we all know and love. Vancouver’s house music duo Bob Moses will then bring their unique style to Seattle after playing some of the biggest festivals such as Glastonbury and Coachella. The audience will then welcome the man of the hour, Diplo, to the stage to close out the night on an energetic high.
GA tickets are on sale for $80 and VIP tickets are on sale for $120. The gates open at 12:30pm and the event will end by 9pm. The event is 21+, so remember to bring acceptable identification. It will be sunny so bring along sunscreen, sunglasses, or hats (all permitted). Small bags and fanny packs under 12″ x 12″ are permitted, and so are totems under 10 ft.
