VH1 and Palladia welcome Mad Decent founder Diplo to the host to a brand new TV series, Soundclash, with Grammy-award winning drummer of The Roots Questlove as the show’s executive producer.
Premiering with live performances by London Grammar, Fall Out Boy, and Lil’ Wayne, Soundclash will be showcasing today’s rising and most charted artists during each episode with 3 simultaneous performances on one shared stage. Episode 2 will feature Ed Sheeran, Sia, and Grouplove. Spearheaded by these two music industry polymaths, the show is so much more than just an aired series of high-profile filled concerts. It’ll be bridging the gap between genres by bringing today’s most prominent artists together on a collaborative field, speaking to multitudes of fans everywhere.
’SoundClash’ is all about convergence…It’s a place where the cutting edge of the emergent act meets the winning assuredness of the established artist. It’s a lush, level playing field where the talented blend and the genres bend in ways that will resonate with even the most discerning lovers of today’s music.
The series will launch on both VH1 and Palladia on July 23rd, with the second episode following on July 30th. Featuring hit songs we already love and exciting brand new material, we’re excited to watch how this series unfolds!
