Everybody’s favorite DJ on social media is Dillon Francis. He’s lived up to his reputation as he gave his followers a few insights into his upcoming album. The highly anticipated album is now set to be released sometime in May. Late Monday night the moombahton pioneer announced that a new remastered Masta Blasta would be released as part of this album.
Masta Blasta was the original track from Francis that caught the eye of Mad Decent’s Diplo. It has a deserved spot on the upcoming album. You can listen to the small preview of the mastered track on Francis’ Instagram.
The release date of May of 2014 mentioned in the tweet conflicted with past tweets and reports saying that the scheduled release was sometime in March of 2014. Shortly after the tweet, he responded to inquiries from fans about the change just a few minutes later.
After addressing the change, which surely disappointed some fans, Francis released more information on the upcoming album. The album, will feature a single with DJ Snake which ‘will be out soon’. Just a minute later the info keeps flowing, as Francis gives his fans even more insight on the project. Francis’ first album will not only include a song with DJ Snake, but it will be the title track as well.
Yes, it’s a later than previously announced release date. But the bits of info are a great bit of quick public relations by the charismatic producer. His Instagram and Twitter are a must for any fan of dance music, and I’m sure the combined 400,000-plus followers on the combined sites can speak to the entertainment value. Let us know how excited you are for Dillon’s upcoming album and whether or not you think he’ll go One Deeper.
