In 2012 Deadmau5 released 4×4=12, an album full of mainstream sex. Collaborations with SOFI that went viral, Raise Your Weapon which featured the beautiful touching lyrics of Greta Svabo Bech and of course quite arguably one of his biggest tracks to date, Some Chords.

In 2013 Deadmau5 released >Album Title Goes Here<, an album full of commercial collaborations with Gerard Way, Cypress Hill and Imogen Heap. While the album featured a few of music’s brightest stars, the experimental side of Joel shinned bright. Tracks like The Veldt took over every radio station throughout the summer and his collaboration with Wolfgang Gartner, Channel 42, harvested souls on every dance floor in the world. The album held off his true fans for a little longer, but lets face it – we’ve all wanted more.
Early January of 2014 the announcement came, “In other news…i finished my album today,” his twitter read, “2 discs. 2 continuous mixes. 25 tracks. and something im proud of.” This past week he shared a few more thoughts to help ward off his excited fans that the album release is being pushed back slightly:
its just that its the first album ive ever done that i would even call an album… it's put together like an album. not a compilation.

i know the album release has been dragging, but after yet another listen here, i think it'll be worth the wait.

Aside from continuing to retire himself from Twitter more times than Charlie Sheen drinks tiger blood, Joel had also recently deleted all of his music from Soundcloud, including all of his recent uploads which could easily be expected on the double disc LP.
