Finally! After months and months of photo hints and sneak peeks into the new cube technology, deadmau5 finally revealed his long-awaited stage production at Future Music Festival in Brisbane this past weekend. Though we weren’t there to experience the latest mau5 creation, judging from the crowd reaction and festival photos, we can confidently say that the new cube is, of course, mind-blowing. Along with the stunning visuals, deadmau5 also dropped some of his new music set to be released “March-ish” as well. To those lucky enough to attend the FMF as it tours across Australia, this by far stands out as the set not to be missed. For the rest of us dreaming of being in Aussie-land, we’ve brought you the next best thing. We’ve collected the pieces of the past few months, beginning to end (excluding the thousands of hours of genius technology behind it) so you can experience the new cube from across the world.
[symple_box color=”gray” text_align=”left” width=”100%” float=”none”]”Thanks to our partners over at microsoft and their PPI team, our team were able to make some pretty righteous touch software that drives the OSC / Midi to… other … stuff. 😉 … its still early in development, but were making great progress. Here’s a quick demo!” -deadmau5, October 28th 2013[/symple_box]
Professor Meowingtons was a key player in the quality control of the production, which clearly explains the ultimate success of the new cube.
In early February, deadmau5 and his new cube design took a trip down to Vegas for the ultimate production testing. The photos below are the results of the test-run, uploaded by deadmau5 via Instagram.
And finally, on March the revealing of the new cube at Future Music Festival in Brisbane and Perth. Next up is Melbourne, Adelaide, and Sydney.

And thanks to some generous and thoughtful festival-goers, we have 2 of the best video captures of deadmau5′ live set from Future Music Festival. The first video slowly eases into the full potential of the production, so if you’re looking for instant gratification, skip to video 2. Either way, all we can say is: What. A. Cube.
BONUS: Just for some extra love and laughs, here’s a bit of what Mr. Mau5 is doing outside of his cube. If you weren’t jealous of everyone down under just yet, this oughta do the trick.
