Deadmau5, in one way or another, is inspiring to many of us. Whether it’s in his music, his honesty and outlook on life, he always manages to shine in the spotlight, and after an announcement he made Monday, he shines even brighter. Currently making its way across the internet is the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge. The ice bucket challenge was created to raise awareness of Lou Gehrig’s Disease and promote funding for research. The challenge has been completed by thousands of superstars, athletes and others across the world and has raised millions of dollars. Deadmau5, however, skips the ice bucket challenge and goes all in by donating $10,000. Good man Joel, good man. We won’t lie, though – we’d still like to see a big ass bucket of water dumped on your head.
Who knew dumping buckets of ice cured Lou Gehrig’s disease. And all this time, i thought stupid things like “research” helped…

…so on that note, i’ll be donating 10k to Lou Gehrig’s disease research while the rest of the circus does fuck all.
