Ever since the border opened up following the COVID pandemic, we’ve been super stoked about traveling to Vancouver B.C., and surrounding areas to see some of our favorite artists! The show that we are most excited about is the upcoming Darren Styles show on Saturday, March 25 at 10 pm featuring special guests Sound Rush.
Darren Styles will be taking over the Harbour and Events Convention Centre in Vancouver B.C., which is one of Canada’s premier venues for nightlife entertainment. The venue was recently renovated in 2022 and has a capacity of just shy of 2,500 people! It will be hosting many exciting upcoming shows this year, including Hardwell on May 19 and Steve Aoki on June 30! Check out the full list of upcoming events here.
Who is Darren Styles, the king of hardcore?
Since releasing his debut album Skydivin’ in 2008, Darren Styles has steadily released tracks to remind everyone he is the undisputed king of UK hardcore. He plays at some of the biggest festivals in the world, including Beyond Wonderland Southern California later this month!

Darren Styles has been a pioneer in the hardcore genre, and is responsible for its crossover into the mainstream, along with other DJs such as Angerfist, Miss K8, and Brennan Heart. Hardcore is derived from techno with a faster tempo and intense kick drums which gets the crowd fist bumping or jumping up and down. For those of you who grew up playing Dance Dance Revolution! and other rhythmic arcade games, you are probably already familiar with hardcore. And for those of you who have heard of Lil Texas, then you know about about hardstyle!
Over the past 5 years, Darren Styles has been releasing bangers on the B.C.-based Monstercat and Electric Fox labels. Some of our favorites include Us Against the World, Party Don’t Stop (an absolute favorite), Louder, and Reactivate. In addition to his releases as a single artist, he also frequently collaborates with other hardcore artists like Gammer, Da Tweekaz, and TNT.
Darren Styles songs have emotional themes of love and passion paired with beautiful vocals that build up to insanely dope drops. They also have super catchy melodies backed by infectious kick drums and blaring synths that will leave you fist pumping the night away and crying tears of joy or happy sadness.

Altogether, listening to a Darren Styles song is an emotional trip, and we cannot wait to experience it in person on March 25 in Vancouver B.C.! Presented by Bass Zone, Darren Styles will be headlining the Harbour Convention Centre that Saturday night, and tickets are still available here.
