Here at Dance Music Northwest, our mission over all is to help raise our local scene up, and to support anyone else who does the same. When the guys over The Dance Music Diaries came to us with their plan for their new podcast, with our shared mission in mind, you can bet we were beyond excited to lend our support to what’s an unprecedented undertaking up here in the Pacific Northwest. The inaugural episode last week showed us just how much power can be lent to delving into the minds of the people who helped build the local electronic dance music scene we’ve come to know and love.
This week, the guys sit down with Gene Lee, a 15 year veteran of the scene known for his work with The Lost Boys, Pound Music, and Deep N Bass, a featured on the first Friday of every month at The Monkey Loft. We hear Lee dish on his time spent in Portugal, what sparked his passion for music at his very first rave back in 1997, and plenty more. Tune in below to hear everything this second installment has to offer, and be sure to follow Dance Music Diaries on Facebook and Twitter to stay in the loop!
Important things happen in Pacific Northwest nightlife, and DMNW will send you alerts!
