After breaking the news with a preview long before any other source, DMNW brings you the official release of Dada Life’s new hit single, This Machine Kills Ravers. We are crossing our fingers that Dada’s chain of stellar and odd music videos, from Happy Violence to Rolling Stone T-Shirt, continues with a follow-up video for this track. Imagine a line of tripping ravers walking single-file through a door and diving into a machine that takes them on the roller coaster ride of their lives, literally. The machine produces nothing more than a glowing, banana yellow blob of goo with dilated pupils and a pulse. “Om nom nom ravers,” it says…okay we’re getting a little off topic.
Anyways, the single starts with a solid build up in the usual style of Dada Life, low bass beats start the melody while drum hits fill in the gaps. The bass line escalates until that haunting robotic voice we were so fond of in the preview states that “This Machine Kills Ravers.” The big room melody rises and falls a couple more times before a haunting chorus of three chords leads up to the last big drop. The end! It doesn’t matter if the machine kills ravers, we’re already dead from all those drops.
