Create Your Dream Northwest Festival, For $24

Dreaming of catching certain artists at specific venues is the type of thing that makes festival season the magical time of year that it is. So much of our time during festival season is spent working, planning, and preparing for our fun, which isn’t much fun at all. In order to keep many of us going during the tougher times, we envision the glorious experiences that await us. Even when a festival ticket may not be had or plans set in stone, envisioning our dream sets and shows is something that helps ravers get by.

Last summer, a string of interesting games created a buzz and made their way throughout the dance music blogosphere, giving fans the chance to create their dream festival lineup for the low-low price of $20. With several genre categories and artists of varying price-ranges, many enjoyed putting together various combinations of artists and genres that, with the budget, became a bit of a challenge. We had a blast putting together different shows and festivals that would dazzle the masses, but something was missing.

So, we created our own version, and gave it a Northwest touch. We also added a couple of categories, the venue and the headliner, to give it that festival season flavor that we’re all addicted to. There’s also a couple of additional rules, such as the limit on headliners, and venues (hey, we’re just covering all the bases). Regarding the budget, we chose $24 for a couple of reasons. First, we want this to be fun, and obviously a bigger budget helps, but we also wanted it to be challenging, hence the hefty headliner price-tags. Also, you don’t have to pick an artist from each category, feel free to mix and match as much as you’d like!
