Dutch duo, Chocolate Puma, are heading to Portland, and we are certainly ready for this performance. Chocolate Puma made their first record in 1991, and from there have made a number of tracks, while working with countless DJs. Pep & Rash, Tommie Sunshine, and Oliver Heldens are just a few of the DJs his duo has had the opportunity to work with, and each of the collaborations is worth checking out.
Gaston Steenkist and René ter Horst make up the dutch House duo. Prior to their work as Chocolate Puma, they produced under many names, such as alias’ The Goodmen and Jark Prongo. Their alias The Goodmen’s Give it Up was later remixed again under Chocolate Puma. If that song doesn’t get you dancing, we don’t know what will.

In 2008, Dutch Magazine Revu featured both artists on the “Top 20 Best Dutch House Records of All Time.” Give It Up by The Goodmen came in at #2, and Vallée De L’armes’ by René Et Gaston came in at #10.
On May 20th, they will be making there way to Portland to play at 45 East. With local support from Jamie Meushaw and Vincent de France, you can continue the party from Eugene with Odesza, to Portland with Chocolate Puma.
Tickets for this event are on sale now. Make sure to check out the legends next month. Also, be sure to check out some of their recent collaborations. They will get you in the mood for the night and hold you over until they are in town.
