Los Angeles-based artist Champagne Drip is giving Northwest fans a taste of what’s to come when he headlines in Seattle next month. Taking the stage at Kremwerk on Thursday Dec. 1st, Champagne Drip will be joined by a few of our friends from Anomaly Music Collective for a night of high-quality, west coast music. The event is one of several hosted by Anomaly in the Northwest this year, and it’s safe to say the first year of business for the group has been a success.
Bringing something new to the stage with every event, Anomaly has invited a friend from the south to kick-off the collective’s new monthly showcase. In Champagne Drip, we’re getting an artist backed by some of the best in the business, with releases on Mad Decent, and most recently Quality Goods Records.
Dropping his debut EP as Champagne Drip in 2014, the man also known as Sam Pool isn’t new to the industry. Performing for more than a decade under the moniker SPL, and releasing every type of bass music known to man on labels like Rottun Recordings, SMOG Records, and more.
Now, we’re getting some new Champagne Drip to enjoy ahead of his headlining performance at Kremwerk. He released the Poseidon EP earlier this month via Quality Goods Records, and it’s a perfect example of the new sounds and styles Pool is interested in creating as Champagne Drip.
Four solo, original tracks from the dance music veteran are the perfect way to prep for his upcoming performance, and follow-up EP. Champagne Drip has already announced a release date for his next work, Of Course I Still Love You, which will be out December 10th via Saturate Records.
Champagne Drip will have plenty of local support at Kremwerk this week, in the form of Northwest-favorites Mike.iLL, Prongs, and Better Halved. Tickets are currently available for $10, before fees, and will be $15 at the venue, with doors at 9 p.m. Let us know what you think of the latest from Champagne Drip, and how excited you are for his headlining performance alongside the Anomaly crew at Kremwerk on Dec. 1st!
