It’s no secret that Cash Cash are one of our mainstream EDM favorites at Dance Music Northwest. Take Me Home received tons of phenomenal remixes (including a surprisingly intimate acoustic rendition), and the out-of-nowhere John Rzeznik-collaboration Lightning is our favorite road trip repeat track. A combination of pop sensibility, solid top lines and songwriting, and enough depth to bear multiple listens, we love Cash Cash. Plain and simple.

Today Cash Cash took to Instagram to tease their latest track Surrender, and from what we can tell it’s going to be another electro house romp with big vocals and synth leads. As it currently stands, it may not reinvent the wheel, but the world always needs fresh, exciting 2015 festival tracks that aren’t Zedd’s good remix of a terrible song. Surrender will be released on September 16th via Big Beat/Atlantic Records. Cash Cash talked with Dancing Astronaut during a music video shoot for Surrender, this is what they had to say about the track:
“We’re so excited for everyone to hear our new song “Surrender.” Working on this song definitely brought out a lot of amazing emotions. I hope it means as much to you all as it does to us. Surrendering is usually seen as something negative or a sign of defeat, but this song shows a different side of it. Sometimes it’s the fight that kills you. Sometimes you don’t even know what you’re fighting for. Sometimes surrendering can set you free.”
