As summer draws to a close, we realize it is about to be Bumbershoot time again. The 44-year-old festival, which was founded with a mere $25,000 in 1971 in the midst of an economic depression, is the longest-running music festival in the city of Seattle. If you’re wondering how the summer flew by so fast, and you’re still not sure what a dance music fan headed to Bumbershoot should be looking out for, don’t worry!
The DMNW Crew has done its homework to provide you with a comprehensive and logically-grouped guide to the electronic music acts at Bumbershoot this year. We used our own judgment to group artists according to readers’ expectations and tastes. As is often our disclaimer: we realize that many artists play in multiple genres, and that inevitably, someone will disagree with the categorization. Feel free to leave us a comment -we always appreciate your feedback.
