When Mumford & Sons came on to the scene with their debut album Sigh No More, they arrived as the darlings of the folk/rock world. Armed with unmatched songwriting to go with their endless assortment of banjo, mandolin, and acoustic guitar riffs, they quickly became world-famous. But we’re not quite done with them yet, thanks in large part to Bloombox and Sam Feldt coming together for a stellar remix effort.
The Dutch duo strips out the fast-paced banjo, substituting seductive saxophone that would make even Big Gigantic proud. Silky deep house backbeats run the length of the track, while Mumford & Sons’ folksy vocals carry us through the journey. I Will Wait is more than well-served as a mellow house offering, giving off that sound that makes it perfect for the smooth reworking from Bloombox and Sam Feldt.
