It looks like something out of a spaceship – an alien contraption, but this new instrument is probably the coolest thing we’ve seen since Star Wars.

The reactable was first seen in concert at a Björk concert, and has gained popularity among DJ’s worldwide. It uses a tangible user interface which makes it possible to perform multi-touch sequencing. In English, users can create patterns and layers of sound with the touch of a finger.
