If you have heart for oldies and are still holding on to summer’s last winding months, Maribou State and Pedestrian have your mix of the year! Maribou State are a groovy duo from Britain that describe themselves as “Two music making, tea drinking, boys from the Shire.” The two extremely talented producers have finally cemented their reputation as a live act beside the likes of SBTRKT and have now breached production and release territory. In honor of their appearance at Isle Of Wight Festival in England, Maribou State has teamed up with Pedestrian to bring us a compilation mix of their favorite summer tunes on the Bestival Desert Island Mix. The two groups “hope this selection of sunshine music will be the perfect accompaniment for when you’re next stranded on a beach.” So far we’ve heard gems from some of the greatest acts in music like legendary Jimi Hendrix, and some sweet grooves from The Zombies. You’ll also hear Judy Clay and William Bell’s Private Number which you’ll recognize because Pretty Lights samples the song for Finally Moving. We’re doing a night of reminiscing and appreciating the foundation of music today with this summery little mix. Thank you Maribou State!
