Bassnectar just announced two new unique shows in celebration of the Day Of The Dead. On November 1st and 2nd, he will be performing in Grand Rapids, Michigan for the shows he’s dubbed “Freakstyle 2019.”
He briefly discussed the idea of Freakstyle 2019 in June via Twitter, saying that the event would be like a dark version of his freestyle events.
Bassnectar’s freestyle shows are drastically unlike the usual festival performance sets, they serve as a form of experimental grounds for artists to play whatever they want. Inherently exploratory in nature, fans will be treated to a lot of Bassnectar’s deeper, experimental, and unreleased music.
For his Day Of The Dead sets, Bassnectar is “going dark” by taking the production to the next level by stripping it back completely. Fans and attendees are in for a haunting treat as they immerse themselves in Bassnectar’s deep sounds for a truly unique experience.
