Bass Coast Music and Arts Festival announces 2025 theme: ‘Wild Things’

After teasing fans earlier this week, Bass Coast Music and Arts Festival has officially announced its 2025 theme: Wild Things. This year’s concept invites festival-goers to unleash their creativity and individuality, similar to last year’s theme.

As the announcement puts it, “Wild Things breathe new life into forgotten fabrics, transforming yesterday’s prints into today’s creations. We are magnificent displays of untamed splendour, evolution’s bold experiment.”

The theme encourages attendees to embrace bold self-expression while staying mindful of sustainability—a core part of Bass Coast’s ethos. Expect to see imaginative costumes and eco-conscious designs as festival-goers repurpose and reinvent past creations into something entirely new.

“This theme is playful and fun, and we encourage people to participate by re-purposing old prints and items from their closet or local vintage stores,” explains Andrea Graham, Co-Founder and Musical Director of Bass Coast Festival. “Sustainability needs to be at the core of participation. I’m excited to see how our patrons interpret the theme.”

Bass Coast has a long history of transforming its festival grounds to reflect its annual themes, and Wild Things promises to be no exception. It will be exciting to see how this untamed concept shapes the art installations, stage designs, and interactive experiences this summer.

The 17th annual Bass Coast Festival returns to Merritt, B.C., from July 11–14, 2025. While the lineup hasn’t dropped yet, fans can expect an exciting mix of cutting-edge electronic artists, immersive art installations, and visionary performances in the coming months. Purchase your tickets here before they sell out!

Are you ready to unleash your inner Wild Thing at Bass Coast 2025? What are you hoping to see on this year’s lineup? Let us know—and we’ll see you on the dance floor!
