Bass Coast Music and Arts Festival has dropped their First Wave lineup – and it’s everything we hoped for, and more. The boutique festival returns to Merritt, BC, July 11-14 and brings a stacked roster of varying music innovators ready to shake up the dance floor.
Leading the pack is none other than G Jones whose mind-bending sound design has made him a festival staple. Meanwhile, heavyweight The Glitch Mob joins him on the lineup with their bold jungle-infused bass. Another artist, Djrum, will use his three-turntable set to blend a variety of genres into something unique.

The lineup is stacked with Pacific Northwest talent. Fresh off a standout year that included a show at Red Rocks, Vancouver’s own The Funk Hunters return to light up the stage with their funky, genre-blending sets. Joining them are Shambhala favorites Skiitour, Stickybuds, and Slynk, bringing their signature high-energy, funk-fueled vibes from the Fractal Forest to Bass Coast.
“We’ve curated a lineup that features the future direction of electronic music whilst giving a nod to the foundations of the culture. While our community will recognize familiar faces, they’ll also discover fresh talent – each artist chosen for their role in advancing and re-imagining electronic music.” – Andrea Graham, Co-Founder and Music Director of Bass Coast
Of course, Bass Coast Festival co-founder Andrea Graham, better known as The Librarian, will bring her signature blend of left-field bass, dubstep, and jungle to the stage. A festival favorite, she often performs twice over the weekend, delivering both a dynamic solo set and unique collaborations that keep fans guessing.
Global Sounds Take Over the Bass Coast Stage
The lineup stretches beyond the PNW with a stellar cast of talent. Mr. Carmack brings his signature fusion of hip-hop and bass. Meanwhile, Player Dave takes us on an experimental journey with his atmospheric sounds. House-heads can look forward to the return of Justin Martin’s high-energy beats.
“The first wave celebrates innovators in house, bass, global club, techno, drum and bass, dubstep & UKG, drawing from some of the brightest names in electronic music.” – Max Ulis, co-curator.
On top of that, Black Loops brings classic house rhythms with fresh, melodic touches. Bambii and Rosa Pistola heat things up with vibrant dancehall, reggaeton, and bass. Nala delivers catchy, vocal-driven house tracks, while the UK’s Anz rounds out the lineup with fast-paced, genre-blurring sets of electro, breakbeat, and UK funky.
