One of our newest favorite festivals has unveiled their lineup for 2017 and it’s out of this world! The sold-out festival will once again return to the Nicola Valley in Merritt, B.C. for its 9th year and we couldn’t be more excited. Since it’s origination, Bass Coast has been putting on a community focused and driven event while showcasing some of the best musicians and artists the scene has to offer. With a large portion of the lineup comprised of acts from British Columbia, the folks behind Bass Coast have once again held nothing back and curated an incredible lineup for this year’s festival. A short tease organizers released back in March already had our excitement to the moon, but with the full lineup officially announced we just can’t wait to return to Bass Coast this July.
Bass Coast has traditionally been a festival that brings together the best of both local and international talent. With a knack for hosting some of the scenes up-in-comers, there is no lack of creativity, originality, and raw talent at Bass Coast. We guarantee you’ll leave the festival with a deep list of newly discovered artists after the 4-day event. This year’s lineup features a ton of British Columbia favorites from The Funk Hunters, JPOD, Longwalkshortdock, Mat the Alien and of course, event co-organizer – The Librarian. 2017 will also see performances from Shades, Doctor Jeep, Justin Martin, Loefah and Pezzner…just to name a few.
Bass Coast’s mission is to provide Canadian artists with a platform to collaborate and perform alongside innovative international talent. Last year we learned first hand just how incredible the festival was and have anxiously been waiting to return. Creativity, innovation, participation, education and environmental stewardship permeate every aspect of the production. With a high focus on its community, Bass Coast has built a following of fans who truly make the event one of the best we’ve attended. Offering up an intimate setting and capping the festival size off at around 4000 attendees Bass Coast holds by the idea of, “We cap the tickets so you have room to dance”.
This year’s Bass Coast is shaping up to be the best to date and if we’ve learned anything its to expect the unexpected. A recent post on the festival’s event page reached out for additional volunteers to help construct a new stage bringing the total to 4 for this year. Combined with art installations, workshops, classes and keynotes Bass Coast offers it’s attendees plenty of opportunities to learn, explore and take in the festival experience. This year’s festival sold out in a record time, but we assure you that shouldn’t stop you from trying to make Bass Coast happen this year. The festival offers several tips on how to safely acquire a resell ticket via their facebook page, and even a method the verify the legitimacy of the ticket.
