Autograf’s Metaphysical Tour earlier this year in Seattle only whet our appetites for the release of their EP, Future Soup. We were not disappointed. Its blend of tropical, future and french house remind us of warm breezes and sunny afternoons. Autograf’s musical process is always purposeful and smooth. Future Soup was designed as a complete body of work, and it’s continuously fluid structure shows us their creative abilities.
The group announced their tour with Goldroom in July, along with their single, Don’t Worry. The single quickly circulated around the EDM community as a summer, poolside song. Autograf was one of the many acts we looked forward to at Shambhala, and they surly impressed on the Pagoda stage. The group is known for going beyond genre boundaries, claiming that “we like to make a joke of all the genre naming.” Their live drums and midi marimba made for a fun, lighthearted set that kept the crowd emotionally invested. We left their performance craving more.
Luckily, we do not have to wait long for the return of their live tour to the northwest. The last two stops of Autograf and Goldroom’s tour will be in Vancouver and Seattle, respectively. The Vancouver performance is on November 11th at The Imperial, which is considered the “hidden gem” of Vancouver. The updated sound system and revitalized appearance will accommodate both artists well. Tickets can be purchased here for $26.32 USD ($34.94 CAD) after taxes.
The tour will be wrapping up the following night at the Neptune Theater in Seattle. The opportunity to see Autograf and Goldroom in this venue will be intimate and unique. Goldroom’s mix of French disco, bass lines, angelic vocals, and live instruments create a diverse style. His sonic-grand songs have heart and will evoke wistful resonating tones. Paired with Autograf’s personal live performances, this tour will make for an unforgettable evening. The theater’s smaller and vintage feel truly compliment both of the artists style and musical mission. You can get tickets here for $23.50 after taxes and fees.
Even while on tour, Autograf is continuing to create new music. They released the song, Future Sauce on SoundCloud this week, so if you need something to hold you over until the tour we suggest checking it out. We look forward to this tour “leaving its Autograf” next month.
