European trance mainstays Kyau & Albert get the fourth mix in the five mix set. The duo formerly known as Kyau vs. Albert is nearing two decades in the dance music industry. They released their celebratory 15 Years album in March of 2012 to commemorate their longevity. Since releasing their first single together, Let Me In in 1996, Kyau & Albert have been growing the European dance and trance scene and continue to do so today.

They also host their own monthly podcast, ‘Euphonic Sessions’. The show, titled after their record label, has been in production since January 2010. The German artists have brought their Euphonic Sessions to the Northwest recently, visiting both Seattle and Portland several times in the last few years.
This mix features remixes of Kyau & Albert tracks from the likes of Mat Zo and Andrew Rayel, and even a Markus Schulz mashup. It starts very strong with a couple of recent Kyau & Albert greats. The opening track is the Arty remix of their collaboration with Above & Beyond, Anphonic, which is followed by their remix of As You Fall by Bent.
As strong and wonderful as it starts, the mix hits a lull around the half-way mark. But, when there is trouble, sirens are often heard, and this set is no different. The mix is quickly rescued by Kat Krazy’s 2013 hit Siren, featuring the emphatic and forceful voice of elkka. Siren was a consistent member of Armin van Buuren’s weekly ‘A State of Trance’ shows, and shows by artists all around the world, in 2013. The energy and passion from that track is somewhat carried throughout the rest of the mix, but it is clearly the high-point of the journey.
