Sunday
Cashmere Cat
Over the last few years, Cashmere Cat has broken out into the mainstream music scene for his production work with artists such as Kid Ink, Kanye West, and Ariana Grande. According to a recent Facebook post, the European DJ is set to release a new song from his upcoming album Friday August 26th. With this new album soon, we’re definitely crossing our fingers that he’ll preview new songs at Bumbershoot. Cashmere Cat’s roots in Jersey Club and genre-bending sound will set the mood for a really fun performance.
Troyboi
There has been a lot of love from us at DMNW lately over his set at Shambhala, and we can only assume his set at Bumbershoot will not be a disappointment. The sets Troyboi performed at The Grove and Amphitheater stages were different, but both performances set the vibes and excitement for the crowd. The London-based DJ is a performer and enjoys engaging in the audience, plus his roots in trap will keep you grooving the entire time. If you missed him at Shamb, or have yet to see him, he is not one to miss.
Tame Impala
(obviously)
Tame Impala is the biggest name on this list, but it should be a given that this is a must see set of the weekend. If you love electronic music, then there should be some love for Tame Impala. Most of our favorite artists developed their sound based on the pioneering of this trio, and it is a treat for them to be here in the northwest! The mix of live instruments, psychedelic rock, and electronic beats will be a great way to wrap up the weekend. Based on their performance at Melt Festival, we can easily say they’ll bring down the main stage on Sunday.
