What The Festival – Artist To Watch For: What So Not

Sydney natives, Flume and Emoh Instead, both incredibly talented and fascinating artists on their own come together to create the unstoppable due What So Not. Coming onto the scene in November of 2011, What So Not made quite the splash with their four track debut EP 7 Dollar Bill, but it wasn’t until they released a remix of Major Lazer’s Get Free in 2012 when they started gaining major traction in the dance music world. Get Free earned the WSN boys well-deserved respect from top producers like Diplo, Flosstradamus, and Nero. With acts like these by their side, it’s not hard to believe that their single Jaguar had over 15,000 plays in its first four hours of being live on SoundCloud.

A few months back What So Not teamed up with fellow What The Festival artist RL Grime to bring us the killer trap hit Tell Me, and we cannot get enough of it. Between the two acts we are sure to hear this song at What The Festival 2014, and there are not complaints on our part!

After What So Not was announced as a 2014 artist, there has been lots of buzz wondering if Flume and/or Emoh Instead will be making appearances on the line up as well. We would not be opposed, but only time will tell who else is to come.
