Fans and listeners of techno and house, rejoice! The legendary NY producer/DJ Joeski returned to one of our favorite Seattle clubs Monkey Loft this May; you may know Joeski from his celebrated releases on labels like Desert Hearts, Material, and Maya Recordings, his own label. We’ve compiled a small collection of our favorite Joeski tunes for your listening pleasure. It can be difficult sifting through such an extensive discography, so we’ve done some of the work for you!

An intense exploration of house and techno- swirling arpeggiators and atmosphere propel the momentum of this spooky roller forward. Deep and entrancing, this impressive collaboration showcases Joeski, Doc Martin, and Lillia extremely well.
Tube & Berger, Ante Perry – Standing In The Shadows (Joeski Remix)
Another tune with strong psychedelic sensibilities, this time Joeski steps up for remix duty on the infamous German tech house label, KITTBALL. The bass line gets us every time!
Joeski – Devour You (XXX) [Maya Recordings]
Adorned with sensual ASMR-like vocals, this track is a journey! The last Maya compilation was an astounding collection of music, no doubt- we were eager to ask him some questions about his influences, the upcoming 2018 compilation, and his future shows in the states and elsewhere. A true veteran in the history of electronic music, you’ll definitely want to keep your eyes and ears on him!
When can we expect the next Maya Recordings compilation? Any familiar artists or exciting new ones you can share with us?

What advice would you give to beginning DJs and producers? What are some of the lessons you’ve learned in your nearly 30 years of experience?
J: My advice would be: do you! Experiment a bit and find your sound.
How/what do you practice?
J: I usually don’t- I prefer for it to happen in the moment 🙂
Do you have any upcoming festivals or shows for us to keep on our radar on this side of the States?
J: This summer is looking crazy busy here in the states, Ibiza, the middle east, and Eastern Europe.
