[divider]Armin & Tiesto Have Dominated The Charts For 14 Years[/divider]
This one can’t possibly be a surprise to anyone. No matter what people’s opinion of him may be now, it’s hard to argue that Tiesto helped bring trance to the mainstream. And with ASOT, Intense, Armin Only constantly caressing our eardrums, the only thing pretending you don’t know Armin Van Buuren will get you is cred with the unwashed, non-EDM masses. Pshaw.
It’s an interesting commentary about trance music and its longevity. Sure, you could argue that their persistence on the charts is a combination of marketing acumen and pure talent (maybe), or that it’s simply that trance has been around the longest. But that pretty much proves the point. Trance speaks to a primal, raw, emotional part of us that never really dies. Trance music, like no other EDM sub-genre, can capture emotions across distances and above other styles. Somewhere inside us, all EDM fans are in the Trance Family.
