Let’s get this out of the way immediately: we know the DJ Mag Top 100 DJs list is crap. At best it’s a semi-accurate glimpse of what’s trending in dance music, at worst it’s a prima donna popularity contest based on who can best leverage social media. But that doesn’t mean we can’t have some fun with it anyway. TranceFamily recently posted this look back at the Top 20 DJs every year since 1997, and some interesting (and hilarious) things make themselves immediately apparent.
