1. A sold out EDC is sort of like a packed Disneyland. There will be lines. Plan ahead.
The lines this year at EDC are definitely a hot topic already just after day one! Shuttle lines had people waiting over 4 hours upon leaving the festival. Police officers handed out water, but the entire shuttle system has been slow this year. That being so, plan for a long shuttle wait post-festival. Our correspondents on the ground made it back to their hotels around 9am, following the 5:30am finish.
ADVICE FROM DMNW: Figure out the transportation method that works for you beforehand. For us, we walked a ways down, then called a cab. It skipped the parking lot drama at least. Also, hypothetically of course, if you get a ride from someone, don’t forget where they parked. That way you won’t be running around for an hour trying to find a car that may or may not still be there.
