Last weekend, Above & Beyond celebrated Group Therapy 300 in Hong Kong. The 300th radio episode was special because they announced a Common Ground companion album. During their live performance, Above & Beyond debuted new songs off their upcoming album: five originals and one updated version of a 2011 song. On a similar note, A&B also played new tracks from Ilan Bluestone, Jason Ross, Cosmic Gate, Genix, and Myon.
Don’t worry if you were unable to stay up until 6AM PST to watch Above & Beyond’s performance. During Above & Beyond’s set, they shared their plan to release the album sometime in the next year. In the creation process of Common Ground, they made roughly 30 songs. Some of the selections did not fit the mood of the final album, and were left out. As a result, a portion of the remaining tracks will be on the upcoming release.
Above & Beyond played a large selection of melodic trance and progressive house tracks. The new original songs that Above & Beyond premiered at Group Therapy 300 included, A Long Way From Home ft. Spencer Brown, There’s Only You ft. Zoë Johnston, The End, Distorted Truth, Flying By Candlelight ft. Marty Longstaff, and a 2018 updated version of Prelude. In addition A&B, performed 2 never before played club mixes, Happiness Amplified ft. Richard Bedford and Naked ft. Justine Suissa. The complete tracklist is available for your reading pleasure.
