At ABGT250, fans were invited to watch an exclusive screening of Above & Beyond’s acoustic performance at the Hollywood Bowl last summer. The journey leading up to what has been hailed as “the biggest Above & Beyond show ever” was also filmed, and it’s hitting the big screen in Portland and Seattle in March!
Titled “Giving Up The Day Job”, the documentary covers the British trance trio’s unlikely journey from the DJ booth to the Hollywood Bowl. Award-winning directors Paul Dugdale and Myles Desenberg help deliver this intimate Above & Beyond story, giving fans a look at Jono, Tony, and Paavo’s personal lives and their decision to “go acoustic”. Starting January 30th, the film will be screened at select cinemas, nation-wide, in conjunction with the Above & Beyond Common Ground tour. Tickets to the Portland screening are available, with Seattle tickets going on sale by the first week of February, according to the Capitol Hill-based Northwest Film Forum.
