When Above & Beyond performed their groundbreaking acoustic set at the Greek Theatre in LA, it changed lives and blew minds. Taking their emotional trance sound and handing it over to a full-scale orchestra, the UK-based trio added a whole new dimension to their music. We’re still waiting on the full album of acoustic releases, but now they’ve released just enough to make us want more.
With their acoustic play on Love Is Not Enough, the arena-sized scale of their music remains, albeit in a completely different form. Harmonic strings and a stripped-down sound guide you on an orchestral fieldtrip through a classic made new. As the trio takes on a variety of instruments, Zoë Johnston’s hauntingly pleading vocals sing of the fleeting state of love, bringing the tearful understanding that all A&B music seems to inspire.
You can grab it on Beatport now, and experience the full acoustic beauty below.
