After a long few years without any releases, all signs point to a new Flume album in 2019! In a cheeky New Year’s Instagram post, the artist said “Cheers 2018. Next year I’ll be back in your life, I promise”

His sophomore album, Skin, released in 2016, received an incredible amount of critical acclaim. Since then, Flume’s continued his touring schedule, but hasn’t released any music aside from the 2017 Skin: The Remixes album and Skin Companion II EP.
Following these releases, he parted ways with the What So Not label, setting off on his own. This year, Flume certainly kept himself at the front of our minds with his back-to-back orchestral set with Diplo at Burning Man, but we’re excited to see what comes next.
For now, we can only speculate, but recent interviews indicate that Flume stole away to a writing camp in Sri Lanka to dedicate himself to his new music. We also suspect that we can anticipate a few major collaborations to come out in the next year.
