It seems that DJs are wearing more and more hats; they are clothing designers, singers, songwriters, actors, and now we can add movie producers? The Chainsmokers, made up of Alex Pall and Drew Taggart, will be producers on a new movie based on their hit song, Paris.
The duo recently created, Kick the Habit Productions, where they are able to work on other projects, like their first film.
“We are beyond thrilled to have launched Kick the Habit Productions as we continue to bridge the gap between our overall artistic vision, the entertainment industry as a whole and our fans. The age of being only a musician is over and we’re excited to go all-in on this venture to curate, produce and create meaningful projects,” the duo said.
They have a good team already started. The author of Pitch Perfect, Mickey Rapkin, will be writing the screenplay. They will also have Dan Marcus, who will be COO and president, and Adam Alpert who is the Chainsmokers manager, will be the CEO.
Though we can’t see where this film is going to go, we do know there is a following already present with their music and “Pitch Perfect”. What teen girl isn’t going to want to see a Chainsmokers song played out on the big screen. What direction do you see this film going? Let us know on our Facebook and Twitter!
