There is a new event series happening in Portland, and along with having some of the best music in the Northwest, part of their earning from ticket sales will go to local animal shelters. The series is called Local Heroes PDX. The series highlights many local DJs, with a focus in house and techno.
We had the pleasure of attending the first part of the series, and it was a day full of great music, energy, and people. Volume 2 will be on November 17th, from 1pm to 7pm, in a completely white 5000 square foot photo studio located at 726 SE 10th Ave in Portland. With a chromatic theme, they encourage attendees to come in dressed in vibrant colors.
This is just the start of something great. Tickets are available here for only $10, with 10% of ticket sales going to the Oregon Humane Society. Come and experience a new kind of event with music by Umlaut, DAKEEK, Nicholas Andrew, Michael Nerlino, Dj KombaWeekend, The Dustbunnies, Jen Roberton, Nesto Torres and Missing Mei. We hope to see you there!
