A little over two years ago, Seattle-based USC Events introduced its trance brand to the world. At the time, what we’ve come to know as Bliss, was a bold concept. An all-trance music massive? In Seattle? Sure, the Emerald City and the surrounding area has a legion of dedicated trance fans, but did it have enough to fill a large-capacity venue for a one-night event?
Sort of.
Doubts of Bliss returning for a third year, as a stand-alone event, developed earlier in the Spring when the brand hosted a trance stage at Lucky– instead of returning to the WaMu Theater, in Seattle, in May, as a massive.
In true “never say never” fashion though, USC surprised trance fans Monday- announcing Bliss Presents: Paul van Dyk.
Taking place next month, November 17th, this year’s Bliss massive, in conjunction with van Dyk’s upcoming Music Rescues Me Tour, will be held at a new location: the Showbox SoDo. With the Showbox half the size of the WaMu Theater, this year’s Bliss will be a more intimate affair- with an explosive lineup to boot!
Joining the legendary PvD are Standerwick, Sean Tyas, and local heroes Dimibo, Johnny Monsoon, and Web. Staying true to Bliss lineups past, this year’s group of artists will take fans on a journey through the many worlds of the trance genre: uplifting, psy, tech- you name it! Add in some top-notch production and what you have is a cant-miss event for trance families across the Northwest!
Tickets go on sale this Wednesday, October 10th, at 10 AM sharp- starting at $27+ fees.
