Local production company Sky High Events has been quietly growing in the Seattle dance music scene since 2016. Founder Jameson Dill started the company while working as one of the original bartenders at Smith Tower in Pioneer square. Jameson was actively DJing in the duo Errant Sons, and had a strong background in promotion for various major entities in the city, including Q Nightclub and USC events. He noticed that business was slow, and proposed hosting an event to bring in extra revenue. Thus, Sky High Events was born. The company continues to focus on unique venues throughout the city, particularly centered around the iconic Smith Tower.
Until now, events hosted by Sky High featured entirely local talent. Their upcoming show on Saturday, July 21st sets to change their pace a bit, featuring LA artist Davi. Davi’s musical training originated in the Armenian conservatory system, but upon moving to LA he began focusing on producing electronic music. Since his beginnings, he’s held a position as a resident DJ for Insomniac music, and toured throughout the world.
The show will take place on the patio on the 22nd floor of Smith Tower, providing a spectacular outdoor ambience overlooking the city. The supporting artists are all local talents, including Jameson, Marco Valencia, and Mike Devlin. The show is 21+ with a laid-back dress code suitable for the summer weather. Tickets are available here. For more information and updates on this event, follow Sky High’s event page on Facebook.
