Headliners, another fun-filled year at Electric Daisy Carnival has sadly come to a close. But, that doesn’t mean we can’t re-live its magic. Over 400,000 of us joined together under the electric sky for one epic weekend that included sets from our favorite artists, amazing art installations, carnival rides, and more. We here at DMNW are definitely feeling that post-festival sadness so we wanted to give a special shout out to the sets and stages we felt deserved recognition, even if they were…well…interesting. Take a journey with us as we reminisce in all of the EDC glory and read on to view our exclusive DMNW EDC Awards; everything from the good, the great, and the WTF.

The Good

Best Live Accompaniment: Ookay w/ Kenny G

A PNW favorite and sexy-sax-man, Kenny G took the stage during Ookay’s song “Thief” and really rocked the crowd. It’s not every day you see an old school iconic artist like Kenny take the stage in front of thousands of electronic fans, but boy were we excited! Take a look at all the awesomeness!

Rookie of the Year: Post Malone

EDC was 0-1 after last year’s snafu with DJ Khaled, so bringing in another hip-hop artist to the stage was questionable. Even with a last minute time slot change and intro mic troubles, Post Malone knocked it out of the park with his set of unforgettable songs and passionate singing. Cosmic Meadow was beyond capacity with thousands upon thousands of headliners strewed across all areas and packed into bleachers.

All the Feels Award: Dash Berlin (Classics Set)

Dash Berlin, a favorite among trance fans, took the stage not once, but twice during EDC weekend to play two amazing sets. One set, however, stood out from the other. When Dash took the stage at Quantum Valley to play an all classics set, it was certainly not to be missed. Thousands of fans gathered to hear this perhaps rare opportunity of the music Dash is well known for. Classic songs like “Jar of Hearts,” “Waiting, ” and “Till the Sky Falls Down” streamed through the speakers with the crowd singing in unison. It certainly gave us all the feels.

Lover of all things electronic. As a previous lead singer her music roots run deep and appreciation for all genres and artists runs high. She can be found dancing and singing along to the likes of Alesso, Hardwell, and Dash Berlin. Most awkward EDM moment? Watching Borgore sing karaoke.
