The young bass and trap music master Ekali, A.K.A Nathan Shaw, will be heading through Western Canada as early as next month. The man has four dates picked out in Whistler, Edmonton, Calgary, and Victoria this June as festival season starts to kick off.
Maybe you’re a fan of his work and look forward to seeing him soon. Maybe you’ve never heard him before. Either way, there’s more than a few reasons to catch him on his Canadian tour. Let’s take a look at them:
1: He’s a headliner for major festivals this season
The trap and bass music producer has been turning heads over the last few years. Ekali is no stranger to working alongside big name artists and festivals, some of which you may be going to. If you’ve missed out on a festival ticket, what better chance would you get than to catch him locally!
The recent lineup release for HARD Summer has him beside Getter, Marshmello, Medasin, Troyboi and Zeds Dead. He stands among diversely artistic peers for a fiercely fire lineup. Paradiso is no different, lined up beside other major contenders like Rezz, Claude VonStroke, deadmau5, Armin Van Buuren and DJ Snake.
ODESZA, Duke Dumont, Falcons, KRANE and RL Grime are just some of the artists he’s performed next to and collaborated with. The man slayed his recent Coachella sets. If it wasn’t already obvious, Ekali’s performance history is a testament to his incredible performance ethic. This guy’s not one to sleep on.
