Fans of the dubstep and deep bass trio TRUTH have more to look forward to this summer than just seeing their name on several festival lineups. The New Zealand native, dubstep duo have joined forces with label powerhouse Disciple Recordings for their forthcoming release, Wilderness of Mirrors. Tristan and Dre are certainly no strangers to the Pacific Northwest and carry quite the following. With releases that stretch back for the better half of nearly 10 years, they’re quite established in the world of bass music. TRUTH has some of the largest dubplates in the game so this latest LP release brings with it plenty of anticipation.
Responsible for some of bass music’s largest releases for the last few years, Disciple Records is a great home for TRUTH’s ever evolving sound. Wilderness of Mirrors features a full 14 song tracklist and vocal collaborations with T Man, Double D E, Killa P and more. The album releases May 19th, but you can get your fix in for the time being with a full tease below.
As we’re quickly approaching some of our favorite festivals this summer, we can’t help but feel like we’ll be hearing plenty of this album very soon. We’ve luckily been given a single track release already, Endless Universe, and it’s a monster of a tune. We’ll patiently be waiting this album’s release, but for now we’ll have their 2016 Shambhala set on repeat and we prepare for their massive b2b set with Stylust Beats for Shambhala 2017. With 2017 nearly a third of the way finished, TRUTH has certainly made a strong case for releasing one of our favorite albums of the year. Wilderness of Mirrors promises to showcase the evolution of the TRUTH brand while continuing to push the boundaries of the lower frequencies.
We’ve got a busy summer ahead of us with lots of festivals coming up. Be sure to follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram for all the latest music and news from the PNW!
