Tchami Triumphantly Ends His “Prophecy Tour” in Seattle [Review]

After months of waiting, the day finally came. The French DJ, Tchami, finally made his way to Seattle for one of the last stops of his Prophecy Tour. There was no time to snooze on tickets because the show at the Showbox Sodo was completely SOLD OUT. If you couldn’t get your hands on some tickets, we are here to recap the night for you.

Mercer has been accompanying Tchami on the majority of the Prophecy Tour dates. However, the future house DJ brought along his support Angelz to Seattle instead. Angelz is a Producer and DJ from Tchami’s label, Confession.

Talk about a perfect support act. Angelz slowly got the audience ready for Tchami by getting the whole crowd bouncing to house music and bass for an entire hour. Very impressive support act to start off the night. If you are going to Beyond Wonderland, make sure to take a peek at Angelz’s set.

The crowd was getting hyped during the transition time from Angelz to Tchami. Once the lights dimmed, church bells rang, LED and lasers flashed before our eyes, and the crowd went wild. The set up accompanied Tchami’s priestly image with church stained glass, podium, and heavenly lights surrounding him.

The visuals for Tchami’s set were absolutely phenomenal. When Tchami came out at around 10, the Showbox was filled to the brim. One of the most packed shows we’ve seen at Showbox.

Tchami wasted no time in making the crowd dance. The energy and momentum of the set lasted from start to finish. Not one minute went by without a drop that brought the energy right back up. Promesses, After Life and Adieu were played with smooth transitions between each song. The set was executed precisely.

After seeing photos and videos from previous shows of the Prophecy Tour, we had our fingers crossed on seeing the live choir make an appearance. Though that did not happen, we were content after Tchami came back for an encore. Overall, amazing production, opener, and performance. We couldn’t be happier that the Prophecy Tour ended in our home town.
