Is one of your New Year’s resolutions to travel more? Are you losing interest in going to similar massive events every year? Well, we here at DMNW love to travel for festivals. We feel one of the most important things as a festival-goer is to be a conscious consumer. That we are giving our money to and supporting festivals that provide proper management and care for attendees.
There are many festivals popping up across the country with great lineups, but sometimes attendees are not given the experience they expected to pay for. Now, not all experiences at these particular festivals are bad, but it can be a frustrating challenge when you pay $150+ for a ticket, and the stage leaks during your favorite artist or there are only two water stations for the entire festival grounds.
We have searched the far depths of the internet and Reddit to get people’s honest opinions about top festivals across North America. We had a difficult time narrowing it down, but the festivals listed below overall had positive rapport consistently with attendees. Other things considered are stage production, travel costs, how the surrounding community affects the festival, and harm reduction efforts.

If you have attended Shambhala Music Festival, than you will surely take an interest in Lightning in a Bottle. This transformational festival seeks to promote creative expression, personal health, artistic freedom, and sustainability. The curator of Lightning in a Bottle closely works with the curators on the Shambhala farm. There are even some similarities between the two, such as stage names like Pagoda and The Village.
In our research, it is clear to see that The DoLab knows their stuff, and works to give the best experience to attendees. There are various workshops one can take throughout the day to promote personal health and well-being. Some classes include, yoga, cooking, meditation, and even survival school.
“LiB was by far my favorite festival experience ever. It’s a completely different experience that I’m now addicted to.”
Festival comments on Reddit all represent a similar theme: that Lightning in a Bottle is an expressive experience created with pure intentions. Early bird ticket sales are currently over, but general on sale begins January 24th. You can get tickets for about $297 before taxes and fees. To stay up to date, follow the LiB website.
