We are already halfway through the month of October, and Halloween is quickly approaching. USC released the full FreakNight lineup earlier this month with lots of exciting new talent. Plus, there is a heavy lineup that will satisfy a wide range of bass enthusiasts.
But, what about those ballin’ on a budget (or just not that stoked for the lineup)? Well, we have you covered here at DMNW. From B.C. to Portland, there are a multitude of other spooky shows and talented artists that will be making their way to the northwest this Halloween.
October 28th
Stereotype Friday w/ Will Sparks @ Celebrities Nightclub, Vancouver
It’s always a good time when this Australian bounce artist comes to the region. We had a blast when Will Sparks came through Foundation Nightclub in Seattle, so we were excited to see he’d be in the area for Halloween. The young DJ’s roots in Melbourne house will make for an evening full of upbeat tunes.
Plus, after seeing how wild the crowd could get at GTA, Celebrities will be the ideal place to get our bounce on. The event is 19+ and you can get tickets here for $32.47 USD ($42.83 CAD) after fees and taxes.
Ekali @ Wild Buffalo House of Music, Bellingham
Bellingham may have a smaller electronic music scene, but it’s been expanding quickly over the last few years. Wild Buffalo has been part of the reason for the musical growth in the area. They have had several great bookings this year including Black Tiger Sex Machine and Luca Lush. Ekali at “The Buff” will be another act to add to that list.
The Vancouver local is in the northwest region yearly, and it’s always a treat when we’re able to catch him. Ekali is known for his bass manifold, and often experiments with varying types of bass within a single set. He claims to have influences of Funk to UK Garage, RNB, Soul, Hip-Hop and more. We’re sure Ekali will have some tricks up his sleeve for us on his Autumn North America Tour this Halloween. The tour will also be making a stop in Seattle at Q Nightclub on November 23 if you aren’t able to catch the show.
The event is 21+ and you can purchase tickets here for $14 after fees and taxes.
Shadows @ Seattle Center Exhibition Hall
We saw several posters advertising Shadows at Upper Left’s Dirtybird BBQ this summer, and now the day is almost here. Upper Left describes this event as a way to “artistically and musically explore shadows.”
We can surely expect an evening full of musical expression that appeals to our visual senses with a live performance from Gorgon City, and supporting artists Kidnap Kid, Moon Boots, Camelphat, and Wesley Holmes. Plus, with a beautiful, modern venue like the Seattle Center Exhibition hall, Upper Left can utilize the space to enhance our experience.
The event is 21+ with no re-entry. Early bird tickets are sold out, but you can get Tier 1 tickets here for $71.80 after taxes.
Resonate Friday w/ Cazzette @ Foundation Nightclub, Seattle
The Swedish duo is known for their uplifting hits, and we are excited to see them in the northwest so soon after Paradiso. Cazzette’s early evening set captured the essence of summer with plenty of good vibes. They played several songs off their newest EP, as well as some of our favorites.
Cazzette also released their remix to Ayer’s track In My Hands this week on SoundCloud. The song has a sweet blend of synths that rings true to Cazzette’s sound. Hopefully they’ll treat us with some more new music this Halloween.
The event is 21+ and Foundation will be serving drink specials all night. You can get tickets here for $31.16 after taxes and fees. Tickets are on the final tier, so hurry and get them before they sell out.
Important things happen in Pacific Northwest nightlife, and DMNW will send you alerts!
