Following a series of cryptic social media posts, graphics with lat/long coordinates, and videos that seemed suspiciously like a tour video, Seven Lions has officially announced ‘The Journey Tour!’ While Jeff Montalvo has been a mainstay at Northwest festivals for years, the announcement of a Seven Lions solo tour is a much more exciting proposition.
While there are no details yet about supporting artists or theme, we do have some information worth noting. The first is that the tour will stop in 31 cities across the U.S. and Canada, including Vancouver, B.C. and Seattle, WA — before making a run through California. The second noteworthy item is that one of the tour’s key sponsors is Fuck Cancer, “a 501 (c)3 nonprofit and registered Canadian charity focusing on prevention (Prevent), early detection (Detect) and, supporting those affected by cancer (Unite).” $1 from each ticket sold on Seven Lions’ The Journey Tour will be donated by Seven Lions Music LLC to the charity.
Subscribers to the Seven Lions email newsletter were informed that there will be a ticket presale tomorrow July 13th at 10am. Presale purchases include a free download of the Creation EP Remixes album prior to the release date. The entry code for the presale is FIRST.
The official Facebook events can be found here for WaMu in Seattle and Commodore Ballroom in Vancouver. We will update this article as more information is available.
