Sydney-based Wax Motif and Yung Skeeter of LA have fused together not one, but TWO impressive collaborations fit for the dance floor. Signed by Dim Mak Records, these two electro-house bangers prove an excellent pairing of talents from both producers.
The first track, “Next To Me,” is an immediate groover – a retro synth kicks in, and as the sound progresses, the modernized beat takes hold. Then, a silence… giving all well-deserved attention to the astounding vocal performance by Nevaeh. An airy, surrounding voice fills the ears, uncovering the soul of the track. Building up just as it should, and then dropping into an all-out party, “Next To Me” is definitely the track that gets the bodies moving; More specifically, it is THAT track for connecting vibing couples on the dance floor, and keeping them there. (DJs, take note!)
“Hush Hush” is quite another flavor. While starting off with a hint of retro, this track has a bouncier feel, with a more progressive, big room approach. The vocal sample yelling “Come on” throughout keeps the energy alive, balancing out the minimal perfection of the beat- This track is perfect for any venue, day or night. Keeping the crowd bumping while not overdoing it is just what sets of all sorts need… and this track is gold in that exact area. these two producers know just what DJs need, and just what listeners want.
