We’ve told you about our feelings on raving sober before, and we’re still big fans. And now we’ve stumbled across someone else who is also a big fan: Bradley Gunn. He’s a 20-year-old IT guy who is absolutely in love with dance music. He arrives an hour early to events to ensure that he doesn’t miss a moment of the show and isn’t afraid to attend alone, though he does have a rave partner typically. Bradley Gunn is a welcome reminder of the beauty of dance music events.
[pullquote align=”right”]”You know, when I’m at a rave I don’t care what anyone thinks about me, and I don’t think about how other people feel about me. I rave in my own mind.” -Bradley Gunn[/pullquote]
Here at DMNW we feel that if you can’t enjoy the event without drugs, then maybe you shouldn’t be there. That’s not to say we’re wagging our finger at those who do partake from time to time, but if you NEED it to have fun in such a wonderful place, then you’re in the wrong scene. This is a beautiful community that celebrates Peace, Love, Unity, Respect, Responsibility, and of course, the music. The sheer electricity in the air and the joy of experiencing spectacular moments with other people are just a couple of our favorite things about raving.
Bradley Gunn is now the subject of a short film, and he sat down to talk to THUMP about his experiences. He reminds us of all the reasons why we fell in love with this scene in the first place, and we like that! Check out the short film “Bradley Gunn Raver” below, and let us know what you think.
