Let the crafting of the new work-music playlist begin, because a ton of new music has been made available to us this week! Kaskade released his long anticipated Automatic, and made it available to stream for free. With tons of collaborations and not shockingly, a few festival-appropriate sing-a-longs, we’re sure to be hearing a lot from this album in the near future.
CHVRCHES put out their sophomore album Every Open Eye almost exactly two years to the day after releasing their debut. Disclosure also released their second album Caracal. With 10 out of 14 tracks featuring other artists, it’s brimming with collaborations. Features include everyone from The Weeknd, Lorde, Miguel, and even Sam Smith (again).
Above & Beyond premiered the latest from Oceanlab at ABGT150 in Sydney and as predicted, it’s beautiful. This comes right in tow with their announcement for a second round of A&B Acoustic. Please excuse us while we fan our hands excitedly in hopes that Seattle is one of the lucky cities to get an acoustic show!
Avicii was set to release his album Stories this week, but pushed it to October 2nd. He had the courtesy to grace us with a megamix in the meantime, though. This delay could be due to the heavy competition for record sales this week, or it could be due to the end of the 2015 Grammy eligibility period, or it could be neither.
