Throw Down in the Future Sound DJ Competition & You Could Meet Tritonal

There’s nothing like a good competition to help up-and-coming locals get their music heard by a wide audience. Hosting the next big DJ battle in our fair city, Corbu Lounge is bringing us the Future Sound DJ Competiton on September 3rd, sponsored by Gotta Groove Records. In a city bursting with young and unknown talent, it only makes sense that you all get a chance to show the city your best work.

[divider]The Rules[/divider]

The first round of the competition begins on September 3rd and there will be a total of four rounds. Each contestant will receive an allotted amount of time to play their set and impress both the crowd and the judges. Scores will be tallied after each performance and at the end of the night, the selected djs will be announced to proceed to the next round. Criteria in which the DJs will be judged includes track selection, mixing skill and audience reaction.

[divider]The Prize[/divider]

Contestants who move on past the first round will move on to the next stage, taking place on September 17th. Only one DJ can walk away victorious, and there’s a doozy of a prize pack for that lucky local:

• (1) ticket to Tritonal & Cash Cash’s “Untouchable Tour” at the Showbox Sodo, 10/9
• An exclusive meet and greet with Tritonal before their performance
• A 2-month residency at Corbu Lounge

Bring your A-game and you could find yourself meeting Tritonal in the flesh, along with getting the chance to nail down a spot at Corbu as a resident. The stakes are high, and the only question: Do you think you have what it takes?

[divider]Tritonal & Cash Cash at the Showbox Sodo[/divider]

We haven’t seen Cash Cash or Tritonal since Paradiso 2014, and we’ve been patiently biding our time, waiting for a joyous announcement such as this. Tritonal has officially announced their Untouchable Tour with Cash Cash throughout North America that will span three months. The Northwest is getting some serious love along the way, and we couldn’t be happier about it.

For all you Seattleites, you’ll get to see them pass through the Showbox Sodo, where the winner of the Future Sound competition will get to mee Tritonal face-to-face! For everyone else, you can grab tickets here, and peep the rest of the Untouchable Tour’s PNW dates below.
