Insomniac Follows Suit For Harm Reduction With Their Own Message

When it comes to harm reduction in the United States, USC Events has been at the forefront of progressive efforts. At any USC massive, whether it be Paradiso, FreakNight, Resolution, Lucky, or any small event, USC has provided free water and a crew dedicated to taking care of the patrons. With the latest in messaging from Insomniac, they seem to have followed suit in those efforts, again offering their regular access to free water, as well as a consequence free medical facility, and a plea from some of the artists that are going to be performing at EDC Vegas.

In a recent video that has been posted to the Insomniac website and Youtube (View-able below), Insomniac has gathered artists, performers, and staff together to preach what is very similar to “The Message” that is promoted by the USC Events staff. They ask you to look out for your fellow ravers, stay hydrated, use the buddy system, and most of all if you see someone that is in need of medical attention, get them help. Nobody is there to get you in trouble; they just want to keep you safe.

Pasquale Rotella, the CEO and Founder of Insomniac events, has made a very important statement to the EDC “Headliners” and it would behoove us to pay attention to his call to action. Far too many of our brothers, sisters, mothers, fathers, and friends have been lost to stupid mistakes.

“As event producers, it is our duty to ensure the health, happiness and well-being of everyone who attends our shows. As human beings, we owe it our fellow brothers and sisters to simply look out for one another. Being united and wide awake means living life with both eyes open, and working together to make sure we enjoy this wonderful culture safely and responsibly.
